After studying the breed, Sheng Chee,
Reg. brought home their very first Pug in 1990, Rawhide’s Mei-Ling
Jennifer, bred by Rawhide Kennels. Years later, Mei-Ling
was introduced to BISS Am. CH Blaque Arnold Becker, ROM* (Register
of Merit) bred by Blaque Kennels, and produced Am. CH
Rawhide’s Eiling Butterfly, ROM* bred by Sheng Chee, hence;
producing their first generation, and their very first American champion.
Sheng Chee,
Reg. introduced Butterfly to BIS, BISS Am. CH Neu’s Chauncelear
J B Rare, ROM, bred by Chauncelear Kennels, owned by Mrs.
Sonja Neu and Mrs. Patricia Park. She produced eight American
champions, and two International champions, one of whom BIS, BISS, Am.
CH Rawhide’s Tiger Lily bred by Sheng Chee, Reg., owned by Rawhide
Kennels, won the 42nd annual Pug Dog Club of America National Specialty
Best In Show, and Best of Breed at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club
in 1998.
